An Ofsted rated ‘Good’ secondary school in Southport are seeking a dedicated and organized individual to join their team as a School Admin Assistant / Receptionist. This is a temporary role to start as soon as possible until the end of term in July. The working hours will be 8am – 2pm Monday – Friday.

To be considered for this position, in Southport secondary school, you must be confident directing students and dealing with external visitors in addition to answering the phone, sending emails and being a personable individual, creating an excellent and positive impression.

The hourly rate for this post will be between £11.68 – £12.50 and you must hold a fully enhanced DBS certificate.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing administrative and Reception support to the school. Your role will include include:

• Having experience working in a busy Reception.
• Being confident, personable and positive person
• Managing communications with parents and staff
• Maintaining accurate records and databases
• Performing general office tasks such as filing, copying, and data entry
• Carrying out any other duties as assigned.

To be considered for this position you will:

• Ideally have previous school experience and be familiar with the SIMS system
• Be a committed professional.
• Be an organised, enthusiastic, proactive person.
• Hold a child workforce enhanced DBS certificate which is on the update service, or be willing to apply for a new one (costs refunded back to you when you complete 20 days’ work)
• Have 2 satisfactory references
• Have a CV that covers the last 10 years of employment history where possible and any gaps in employment must be explained.
• Have the legal right to work in the UK.
