Office Administrator & Receptionist£25,000 per annum Chelmsford, EssexMonday-Friday, 8:30am-5pm

My client, a large property business based in Chelmsford is currently seeking an Office Administrator & Receptionist to assist in the day-to-day running of their office.

Based on reception, your duties will include but will not be limited to:

• Answer calls and greeting clients
• Answer general emails and postal correspondence
• Assist various departments
• Help organise the Summer and Christmas staff parties
• Process invoices for purchase order numbers on internal software
• Manage the file archive storage and records
• Manage health and safety as well as fire regulations within the office
• Order office supplies
• Work closely with the handyman regarding general property maintenance
• Liaise with various building service suppliers (e.g. fire alarm, window cleaners, air con etc.)
• Chase unpaid invoices for all office related bills
• Formatting, proof reading and binding documents
• Work overflow assistance/holiday/sickness cover for secretaries in other departments
• Raise fees for accounts team
• Send out rent demands once a fortnight, folding and franking a high volume of letters
• Sort post and scan bank statements

The ideal candidate:

• Ideally will have previous experience in a similar role
• Good communication skills – both verbal and written
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues at all levels
• Proactive with exceptional organisational and co-ordination skills
• Professional telephone manner
• IT literate, Microsoft Office
• Ability to prioritise and perform under pressure
• Positive attitude, reliable and dependable
