We’re seeking a dedicated Part-Time School Receptionist to manage our school reception and create a welcoming atmosphere for 4 hours a day.

Key Responsibilities:

1. First Impressions Matter: As our receptionist, you’ll be the face of our school! Greet visitors with a warm smile and ensure they feel welcome.
2. Visitor Management: Sign in and out all visitors, making necessary DBS checks to maintain security.
3. Communication Hub: Handle external inquiries via the telephone switchboard and school email accounts. Direct messages to the appropriate colleague or department.
4. Parent Engagement: Communicate with parents when needed, providing helpful information and assistance.
5. Mail and Parcels: Efficiently handle incoming and outgoing mail, liaising with the Finance Office and Site Team.
6. Information Management: Input data into our school’s information system (Arbor) and generate reports (e.g., student timetables).
7. Student Records: Maintain and update student records and files.

General Duties:

• Effective Communication: Prepare and distribute letters and other communications.
• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records related to your administrative function.
• Team Support: Collaborate with other administrative functions (Reprographics, Finance, Data, and Exams) as needed.
• Event Assistance: Play a role in organizing school events, including vaccinations, photography sessions, and parents’ evenings.
